Shipping Department Assistant


The shipping department assistant is in charge of assembling orders, preparing goods for shipment, recording shipment data, receiving and unpacking materials and supplies, and reporting any damages, order discrepancies, and reimbursements to the accounting department for record-keeping purposes. The individual will work under immediate supervision and reports to the shipping department manager.


  • Assembling and documenting order shipments
  • Receiving, unpacking, and documenting new inventory
  • Assisting with inventory management
  • Assisting with customer service (e.g., communicate with customers information regarding product availability, order delivery and tracking)


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0 – 2 years experience with ecommerce UPS / USPS shipping methods
  • Good typing skills and attention to detail
