VWR Signature Pulsing Vortex Mixer - Model 12620-862 - Each : Designed for glass bead procedures and capable of complete cell disruption in minutes. Unique pulsing action reduces heat generation while producing excellent grinding action. Mixer includes an easy-to-load holder for twelve 1.5mL or 2.0mL microcentrifuge tubes. The micro-tube holder has a built-in cup head which allows the mixer to be used as a standard vortex mixer during the touch mode. Mixer also has a microprocessor controller with a digital interface that features independent LED displays for both speed and time for accuracy. Displayed time counts up during continuous operation and counts down during timed runs. Grinding media for the pulsing vortex mixer is available in three different sizes, each available with three different treatments. The acid washed beads are ideal for disrupting fungi, molds, yeast, and bacterial spores. The molecular biology beads are treated to be DNase/RNase-free and are useful for preparing samples for molecular biology applications. The zirconium molecular biology beads (12621-160) are also ideal for preparing cells for real time PCR. The low protein binding beads are useful for homogenizing samples for protein analysis and for high protein recovery. UL and C-UL listed. CE marked.
