- DRIERITE Absorbent, WA Hammond
DRIERITE Absorbent, WA Hammond - Model 13005 - Case of 4 : Anhydrous calcium sulfate. For drying organic liquids, either in the liquid or vapor phase. For drying air and other gases. DRIERITE will absorb 6-8% of its weight in water, depending on relative humidity. Highly porous granular structure absorbs water both by hydration and capillary action. Non-disintegrating, non-wetting, non-poisonous, non-corrosive, non-indicating, and repeatedly regenerative. Neutral, stable, constant in volume, and inert except toward water. Insoluble in organic solvents. Temperature limitation is approximately 107 degrees C, at which point the half-hydrate begins to lose water appreciably. Regeneration procedure for Drierite Desiccant: Desiccant granules must be single layered on a metal baking sheet. Oven must be heated to 450 degrees F or 230 degrees C (no more or less). Desiccant granules must be baked for 11/2 to 2 hours (no more or less). Once this is done, the product has been properly regenerated and is ready for re-use. This procedure is very specific. It should not be varied in any way.
